Social Meditation: A Contemplative Exploration of Community & Society

Social Meditation is a meditation program that emphasizes the context of meditation practice in order to deepen practice, increase motivation, and develop confidence in applying meditation in a variety of contexts. Meditation practice is suopplemented by structured discussion, exercises, and activities to take us beyond the limits we set for ourselves as meditators.

Social Meditation is recommended for all levels of practitioners, although those with no experience meditating should arrive 15 minutes early to receive basic meditation instruction. This is a safe space for all people and participants should be willing to be respectful and open in regard to different views and unfamiliar perspectives.
