Future of Windhorse Retreat Center

April 8th

Room: West Loop Shambhala Center, 37 N. Carpenter St.

It's been seven years since I sent out a similar invite to everyone in the region about the "Future of Windhorse".  This is an invitation to discuss what will become of our regional land center when I retire from my position as Acting Director on Shambhala Day, February 5th, 2019.

Upon my retirement the future of Windhorse is in question.  It will be up to all of you to decide if Windhorse Retreat Center is of enough value to our region, and the Shambhala Mandala as a whole, to continue to cultivate it.

Please consider attending a gathering at the Chicago Shambhala Center on Sunday April 8th from 12:30 to 2:30. I will share with you my understanding and experience of the past, present and possible future of Windhorse Retreat Center.  The intention of this gathering is to find out if there is enough support from our region to continue cultivating a Midwest Shambhala Regional Land Center; which was first suggested  back in 1997 by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

Good food and conviviality will be served!  All are welcome!
If you can not make this date there are 2 additional gatherings March 10th 12:30-2:30 at the Milwaukee Shambhala Center and March 11th 3:00-5:00 at the Madison Shambhala Center.
