The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program is an eight-week course designed to teach participants how to improve the quality of their lives as they work with various types of stress. This course includes: guided instruction in mindfulness meditation practice; gentle stretching and mindful yoga; inquiry exercises and group dialogues; home assignments; and guided audio files. In this course, you will learn key elements of mindfulness as it relates to stress reduction and enhancing well-being. You will learn how to practice and apply mindfulness techniques and integrate mindfulness into your daily life.

Participants are asked to make a commitment to MBSR meditation practice during the eight weeks of the course and to practice mindfulness in daily living. Please note that there are 8 two-and-a-half hour sessions, and one OPTIONAL all day weekend session: Sunday, November 15, 9am - 3:00pm. Participants must commit to attending all Wednesday sessions, so late registration is not possible.

*Some employers’ health plans will pay for the class, since it is focused on stress-reduction. Check with your employer to see if this is an option for you.
