Transportation and Parking
Mass Transit (Recommended): We are a 7-15 min walk from three CTA train stops: Green/Pink Line -Morgan stop; Blue Line – UIC-Halsted (use Morgan exit) & Grand stops. We are a 15 min walk from Ogilvie Transportation Center and a 20 min walk from Chicago Union Station if you will be using Metra or Amtrak trains. Visit Metrarail.com for specific travel information. You can utilize the Google Map (above) to create your specific route which may also include a combination of public transit services, including buses.
Driving: We are conveniently located near the I-90/94 Expressway and are closest to the Madison Exit. Use the Google Map (above) to get directions from whatever location you will be coming from. This map can also help you obtain directions for public transit.
Street Parking: Close to the Main Center, all North-South streets are meter-free. Just be sure to check street signs as there are a number of loading zones in this area. East-West streets are typically metered; however, as you continue to drive west away from the Main Center more streets are meter free.

Shambhala Chicago has open sitting on Sundays and Tuesdays in the Main Center. Sitting and walking meditation will take place, light snacks and beverages will be offered and come a little early and stay a little late for socializing. Talk and discussions may also occur. You are welcome to come anytime between those hours and leave anytime as you do not have to stay for the duration of the sitting. Cushions, benches and chairs are supplied; you do not need to bring anything. All are welcome.
Free meditation instruction is offered through guided group instruction
