The Tendon Changing and Marrow Washing Intensive is a qigong program that focuses on strengthening the musculoskeletal system - tendons, bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and spine. External strengthening forms the foundation of the cultivation and circulation of internal energy. Strong bones, articulate joints, flexible tendons and ligaments, and an aligned spine allow internal organs to receive maximum benefits in gathering and storing energy.
In this program, you will learn:
- The Eight Basic Wudang Warrior Qigong Forms. These qigong postures were used traditionally by the warrior Daoist monks of Wudangshan monastery to build musculoskeletal strength and endurance for the practice of the martial arts. Used as a foundation for qigong, they are capable of building external strength in a short time.
- How to apply the 12 Devas to gain tendon strength and elasticity, revitalize bone marrow, and build endurance by enhancing bone and tendon strength. You will also learn how to use the 12 Devas to facilitate the flow of sinovial fluids through the joints to repair injuries and prevent deterioration through aging.
- How to apply selective breath-regulation forms from the Immortals’ Guide to Self-Massage and Breath Regulation and the Red Phoenix Calisthenics to control and direct internal energy toward healing and enhancing the musculoskeletal system.
- The complete Jing Practice. Generative energy, or jing, is the key to building and maintaining marrow strength and density, bone mass, and sexual potency. It is also the foundation for advanced techniques of the internal alchemy in the transmutation of jing into qi (the vital energy).
